The Korean manufacturer, better known for its electronic products, is starting to establish a favorable reputation in the digital camera world. Samsung TL34HD is the new leader of their Point and Shoot range. Their digital camera credentials received a boost with the release of the Pentax K20D, and its Samsung branded twin, with an advanced Samsung sensor as the heart of the new cameras.
The Samsung TL34HD benefits from their mastery of digital technology with of a new sensor featuring resolution of 14.7 megapixels and a maximum ISO of 3200. This suggests the Samsung sensor has good low noise performance in dimly lit situations as well as producing high resolution images.
The high performance sensor of the Samsung TL34HD is complemented with a lens wearing the Schneider name, a renowned German optical specialist. The zoom lens starts from a 35mm equivalent of a 28mm wide-angle focal length with 3.6x zoom factor, promising sharp, clear and detailed images with every shot. The TL34HD builds upon the success of its predecessor, the Samsung NV24HD, with the capability to capture high-definition video at a resolution of 720P along with Dual Image Stabilization.
The all-metal construction of the TL34HD, along with its pocket-sized with dimensions of 3.68" x 2.34" x 0.80" make this Samsung a handy camera to carry around. Available in all-black, or silver with a striking red accent the TL34HD takes camera design to a new level.
A large three-inch touch-screen hVGA LCD dominates the back of the camera and is sure to attract attention. The TL34HD’s large screen is part of Samsung's next generation Smart Touch 2.0 user interface, which further simplifies the way users navigate through the camera’s settings. By incorporating touch-screen technology, users now select and control various camera functions using the TL34HD's large three-inch touch-screen LCD. Not only does the Smart Touch interface simplify operating the digital camera, but it also provides for a much sleeker and attractive design.
