Rugged Minox Digital Camera

Famous for their miniature cameras that were the favorites of spies everywhere, Minox built their latest digital compact camera to survive the harshest of conditions.

If you need to take camera with you on serious outdoor adventures or hazardous jobs then the new Minox DC 6033WP digital camera could be for you. The design starts with an rubber-armored body to resist impacts and is sealed so it is watertight down to 33 feet under water. This waterproof sealing also keeps dust, dirt, sand, and salt out of this tough digital camera.

Inside all this protection is quality 6 megapixel CCD sensor with enough resolution for sharp images with plenty of detail. The sensor is backed up by a multi-coated MINOCTAR lens, for true color rendition, and with a focal length equivalent to a 42mm in a 35mm SLR camera. This is a close focus design and objects only 24’’ away from the camera allowing their capture in sharp images, great for shots of all those secret documents.

Naturally the Minox is compact, with dimensions of 3”x4-3/4”x1-3/4” and lightweight at just over 8 oz. This makes the camera easy to stow in a back pack or pocket, so it is not noticeable, and the rubber coating makes it easy to hold even in wet conditions.

This rubber grip is handy because you can use the camera for those special underwater shots, and view the result s on color screen. To help with underwater and other dimly lit situations this little beauty has a built in electronic flash, although it can be turned off for situations where you do not want to attract attention.

With up to 2 gigabytes of storage on an SD card there is plenty of capacity for all the shots you need. This Minox camera uses common AA size batteries giving the option of using rechargeable batteries or alkaline batteries that are readily available around the world, making power an easy option.
